Hotel Bagoeira - Barcelos

Clean and well-maintained rooms enhanced my comfort.

Unfortunately, I struggled with the firmness of the mattress, quite hard and affected my sleep after long days of exploring. I found the breakfast selection lacking variety, disappointing considering the expectations for local cuisine. The lack of a kettle in the room for tea was another letdown.

This place is wicked centrally located, right by the market area. I was blown away by how spacious and clean the room was, and the staff? Super helpful! Breakfast was pretty solid too. The best part though? Dinner at the restaurant was a delight-seriously good food! Can't beat that vibe !

Good location nearby the citycenter, the staff was helpful in changing the room to the rear, much more quiet site. The room disposes of all the necessary items necessary to make a short city break successful.

The location is decent, but the mattress was like sleeping on a rock-definitely not my idea of comfort after a day of exploring. I didn't see any complimentary tea options, which surely would have taken my experience from meh to magnificent. Almost considered giving a good review, but just couldn't!

Off street car parking

Rooms at the front noisy due to traffic and opposite a car park that seems to host many events.

I am an American and was traveling in Portugal for twelve days with my husband and we went there specifically to go to the market in Barcelos. The hotel was the perfect location and I would highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It was also super easy to explore downtown Barcelos.

In my wife's opinion, they should offer more family-friendly room amenities.

The room was good, the breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good with an excellent restaurant attached.

I would have liked one English speaking TV channel.

Extremely good value - a smart comfortable hotel with a good buffet breakfast including fresh fruit which can be enjoyed on a lovely roof terrace. I stayed on a Wednesday night to enjoy the atmosphere of the Thursday market right outside. Although my room faced front, the noise of the setting up (which started late the previous night) was not too bad at all as the room is reasonably insulated.
